WHAT ARE NORTHSIDE
SMALL GATHERINGS?
Northside small gatherings are an opportunity to gather with others in a relational environment to worship God and connect to the disciple-making movement happening at Northside.
The Church started in homes. For hundreds of years, believers would gather where they lived to worship Jesus together. Now, we look to continue that practice by equipping Northsiders to open their homes and create sacred space centered around our livestreamed service. Northside invites you to gather with other believers in your neighborhood to participate in a personal, small gathering worship experience.
If you would like to gather with Northside at a small gathering, you can join or apply to host a Northside Small Gathering! It has been so powerful having small gatherings of friends, family, neighbors, and discipleship groups worship together in homes. We have many Northside Small Gatherings happening all around the Spring area and we are adding more each and every week.
While they can be similar, Small Gatherings are distinct from Discipleship Groups. Small Gatherings exists as a worship gathering opportunity for Northside. Small Gatherings meet in neighborhoods throughout the area and are centered around the weekly livestreamed service.
Discipleship Groups, on the other hand, are a discipleship strategy intended to be diverse groups that equip each person involved to be a disciple that makes disciples. Despite this distinction, there may be some overlap between the two, and that’s okay.
You can expect a regular time each week to gather in a home near you to worship through singing, engaging with the sermon, taking communion, and encouraging one another. Please be considerate of one another and be gracious in wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining social distance.
We want children to join in! There are few ways this can happen. Everyone can gather together around the Northside livestream or you can create your own engaging environment for children led by adults. You can create these environments for children by checking out our Family Resources page or our Northside CM YouTube page, either way we have ways to connect kids!
We love you, but please stay home! If you or someone in your household is exhibiting symptoms, we ask that you do not attend a Small Gathering. In addition, if you or someone you’ve been in close contact with has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend a Small Gathering for 14 days following your most recent interaction with them.
No. If you sign up to open your home to others, we will work to personally connect you with attendees. Your address will not be posted publicly.
